Independence Day

Happy July 4th, 2009

My parents came down to visit us this weekend. We started the day with a great breakfast in San Juan Capistrano with my in-laws.

Then we took a ride around the area and gave my parents the OC tour--My Mom, brother and I were laughing so hard in the car!
I love to laugh like that!

Here is my Daddy...just relaxing in our home, holding Kashi. He is looking so good (about 6 months post surgery). His scar from the brain surgery has healed well, and thankfully he has not had any horrible side effects from the chemo. Hopefully his next MRI will tell us more information about the remaining tumor. We are hoping that he chemo is eliminating it, or at least preventing further growth. We went to my Uncle and Aunt's house in Claremont for a BBQ, and Kashi got her first haircut, courtesy of my nice Auntie! Our long-haired chihuahua is now a short haired chihuahua! We are liking the summer cut! This is our little Kashi. With her new summer hairdo, she resembles a wet rat.

Not as cute, but practical for the summer! She won't be hot, and we won't worry about her shedding!

Happy Independence Day!
